Kindergarteners LOVE homework! They are always asking when we will have homework. Not to worry...we do have homework in kindergarten which begins in October.
Homework is meant to promote responsibility and should not take more than 15 minutes per day. It will reinforce skills that we work on in our classroom but may not be a review of what we learned that exact day.
Homework Procedures:
Each month, you will find a homework calendar stapled to the next page in your child's homework journal. The calendar has the homework for the entire month on it. Your children should complete the current week's homework by selecting one of the homework options on the calendar. Please keep the journal at home all week and on Friday, send it to school to be turned in. Your child's journal will be returned the following Monday.
